This is trim that I had made as a replica of the trim in the famous portrait of Katharine Parr.
The trim is .8″ wide, with metallic gold thread embroidered on a sturdy black satin or burgundy velvet ground. It has a fusible iron-on backing that makes placement very easy. The glue feels quite sturdy when ironed on, but you should not rely on the glue alone to keep the trim in place if you are going to wash or dry clean the garment.
